comment Why all the photos from 67p are black and white?
I think that the three wavelengths of human eye (red, green, blue) are not so important for scientific examination of the pictures. I can imagine that much more important could be filters designed for certain wavelengths to detect certain properties from the picture.

comment How bright are the outer planets, when at close range?
Human eyes are highly adaptive to the perceived brightness. That is the reason you can see both during a shiny day and during a night without moon.

comment Why is our solar system “tipped” about 63° with respect to the plane of our galaxy?
Can this be extrapolated to a smaller scale? If yes then why most of the planets in the Solar system have axial tilt smaller than 30°?

comment Is it possible that a ultra-large portion of the space we live in is already inside a black hole? How could we refute this?

comment What is the ratio of cosmic microwave background radiation to normal radiation?
@Jonathan: The "area" you are describing is called the surface of last scattering. See cosmic microwave background on Wikipedia.

@HDE226868 thanks for the note. I thought that it was obvious (also from the first paragraph) that the collapse happens when the fusion activity decreases. I have edited the answer to explicitly mention the end of the fusion. --- The second paragraph is only to mention the star mass limit for the Fe nuclei not to be destroyed by the star collapse.
