I got my Ph.D. in Astrophysics working on star formation, studying numerically the effect of magnetic field on star formation processes. I have a strong interest in high performance computing, computational science, physics, astrophysics, statistics, social sciences, software development and training. I do or did do all of the above at some point for a living. I tend to code a lot, to develop scientific softwares (in Python and Fortran, using parallel libraries such as MPI & OpenMP and a bunch of other stuff), to analyze data (in Python and R), to develop tools for human ressources (in Python and a bit of Perl), and for fun. I am also a TeX/LaTeX user (and enthousiast!) for years, always thrilled to discover all the things you can do with these tools. Finally, I am a GNU/Linux user and supporter, and I strongly believe in the power of sharing knowledge and culture.
My profile picture is a photograph of a statue of Nicolas Copernicus in his hometown of Toruń.
